Inspirational Quotes on Finding Happiness

Inspirational quotes have had a huge impact on my life.  When reading a quote, it feels as though the person I admire so much is directly speaking to me and giving me advice.  Quotes keep me going when I want to give up.  They help me to understand that others have been there, too.

Here are some of my favorite inspirational quotes on finding happiness in our lives:

“This is your life.  Do what you love, and do it often.  If you don’t like something, change it.  If you don’t like your job, quit.  If you don’t have enough time, stop watching TV.  If you are looking for the love of your life, stop; they will be waiting for you when you start doing things you love.  Stop over analyzing, life is simple.  All emotions are beautiful.  When you eat, appreciate every last bite.  Open your mind, arms, and heart to new things and people, we are united in our differences.  Ask the next person you see what their passion is, and share your inspiring dream with them.  Travel often; getting lost will help you find yourself.  Some opportunities only come once, seize them.  Life is about the people you meet and the things you create with them so go out and start creating.  Life is short.  Live your dream and share your passion.” – Holstee Manifesto

“Be impeccable with your word.  Don’t take anything personally.  Don’t make assumptions.  Always do your best.” – don Miguel Ruiz

“Nothing other people do is because of you.  It is because of themselves.  All people live in their own dream, in their own mind; they are in a completely different world from the one we live in.  When we take something personally, we make the assumption that they know what is in our world, and we try to impose our world on their world.” – don Miguel Ruiz

“Associate only with positive, focused people who you can learn from and who will not drain your valuable energy with uninspiring attitudes. By developing relationships with those committed to constant improvement and the pursuit of the best that life has to offer, you will have plenty of company on your path to the top of whatever mountain you seek to climb.” – Robin Sharma

“Be content with what you have, rejoice in the way things are.  When you realize there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you.” – Lao Tzu

“If you don’t like something, change it.  If you can’t change it, change your attitude. Don’t complain.” – Maya Angelo

“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style” – Maya Angelo

his point of view — until you climb into his skin and walk around in
it.” – Atticus Finch

“For myself I am an optimist – it does not seem to be much use being anything else.”           – Winston Churchill

“The only way to have a friend is to be one.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

“To dream of the person you would like to be is to waste the person you are.” – Unknown

“Finish each day and be done with it.  You have done what you could.  Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can.  Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

“There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love.  When we are afraid, we pull back from life.  When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance.  We need to learn to love ourselves first, in all our glory and our imperfections.  If we cannot love ourselves, we cannot fully open to our ability to love others or our potential to create.  Evolution and all hopes for a better world rest in the fearlessness and open-hearted vision of people who embrace life.” – John Lennon

“Our lives are not determined by what happens to us but by how we react to what happens, not by what life brings to us, but by the attitude we bring to life.  A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events, and outcomes.  It is a catalyst, a spark that creates extraordinary results.” – Anon
